2022 Alfred (Jimmie) and Joyce Soupart MCCF Scholarship Winner

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Jimmie and Joyce Soupart, along with the Montgomery County Community Foundation Board of Trustees, are pleased to announce that the recipient of the 2022 MCCF Alfred (Jimmie) and Joyce Soupart Scholarship is Trinity Lane, a graduate of 2022 from Conroe High School. This scholarship supports her first semester at Southern University and A&M College where she is seeking a degree in finance.

The Souparts are attached to the community of Conroe, where they have taken up residence, and to
higher education, of which they recognize the growing importance for the future of young people. Their scholarship focuses on highly talented young people who lack the financial support to pay for their college education. This need-based scholarship was established in 2015 to benefit graduate students of Conroe High School.

Ms. Lane graduated in the top 10% of her class. In addition to being the captain of the CHS
College volleyball team in her senior year, she received the 2021 Impact Award for coordinating a criminal justice reform seminar that raised community awareness of the criminal justice system and potential reforms. While at Harmony School for Advancement, she was a founder and president of the Black Student Union and a member of the debate team.

After meeting Ms. Lane at Conroe High School Senior Achievement Night to present the
scholarship, Jimmie Soupart observed, “Trinity is an impressive student leader. She will clearly excel in college and just needed a little extra help to get there. We thank God for this opportunity to help him.

The Souparts, along with the board of the Montgomery County Community Foundation, are
proud to award this scholarship to Mrs. Lane. The Alfred (Jimmie) and Joyce Soupart scholarship is available for Conroe High School graduates. Interested students should contact their school counselor for the Spring 2023 application.

The Montgomery County Community Foundation unites the passions of donors in the future by creating legacies that improve the quality of life for Montgomery County residents through graduate scholarships and support for nonprofit organizations serving the Montgomery County.
