How Much is Anambra State University Tuition Fee?
Like most public universities, Anambra State University tuition is comparatively higher than what one can get at federal universities. However, it is imperative to note that at most federal and state universities, the tuition paid by students differs by program of study and level of study.
This means that a medical student may pay more than an accounting or English student at the same university. Similarly, a new 1st year student will likely pay higher tuition fees than a 3rd or 4th year student. Also at most state universities, in-state natives pay lower fees than non-natives.
Anambra State University tuition fees may also differ from academic session to academic session, with management reserving the right to increase or decrease fees. Currently, tuition fees at Uli range from ₦125,465 to ₦401,815 for new students and from ₦110,315 to ₦401,315 for returning students.
This indicates a massive increase in fees from ₦13000 to ₦15000 students paid in 2007 and 2008 before they were increased to ₦26000 and ₦31000. Below is a breakdown of the current tuition fees for all courses in Anambra State University.
|fresh students Fees paid|
|Second year students|
|Third year students|
|Fourth year students|
|Professional (law course)||₦186,965.00|
|Professional and Scientific Courses (Engineering/Env.)||₦136,965.00|
|Sixth year students|
To note: ANSU tuition fees are paid per academic session, which constitutes two semesters. Although the amount indicated above may change from one academic session to another, you should also be aware that the University has clearly indicated that any delay in payment will incur penalties in the form of additional fees. So, if you pay any of the sections late, you may be charged additional fees.

The second highest tuition fees are paid by people studying pharmaceutical sciences, with more than ₦200,000 for first-year and second-year students and more than ₦150,000 for students in other years.
