Applications are accepted for the SEMA Fellowship Program

The application period for the 2022 SEMA Scholarships for students preparing for careers in the automotive or performance parts industries is now open and will run until March 1, 2022. Interested applicants can review and complete the scholarship application to www.sema.org/scholarships.

The SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance of up to $5,000 to foster the next generation of leaders and innovators in the automotive aftermarket industry. A loan forgiveness component is also available to employees of SEMA member companies who have completed and are currently repaying a loan for an educational program at an accredited university, college, or vocational/technical school in the United States. .

“College is expensive, and for current students and recent graduates who have unpaid student debt, receiving a SEMA scholarship or loan forgiveness can help ease financial troubles,” said Chris Standifer, head of project, recognition programs for SEMA. “The lower costs also mean that students have more time to focus their studies on a career in our industry. This gives them a competitive edge to help them achieve their academic and professional goals.

The annual scholarship program is the cornerstone of SEMA’s efforts to support career development and access to the automotive industry. In addition to the scholarship and loan forgiveness program, aspiring industry professionals have access to SEMA’s Career Center, Resources, Job Posting Center, and more. Fellows will also have the opportunity to attend SEMA 2022, providing unparalleled training and networking opportunities.

Applicants must be US citizens 18 years of age or older and demonstrate a passion for automotive hobbies and careers. Scholarships are available in a variety of categories, including but not limited to accounting, sales, marketing, and engineering. Eligible students and employees of SEMA member companies can apply until March 1, 2022 at www.sema.org/scholarships.
