American Implement and Western State Bank announce the return of their annual scholarship program for students in the Western Kansas area.

The program, titled Ag Future Scholarships, will provide a total of ten $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors or current students who will be enrolled in a college or technical school in the fall of 2022-23 and who intend to pursue a program related to agriculture. or diploma.

“The agricultural industry, especially in western Kansas and southeast Colorado, is vital to our communities,” said Kelley Baker, director of marketing for American tools. “We believe in neighbors helping neighbors, which is why we’ve partnered again with Western State Bank to create this opportunity for area families.”

To be eligible for the scholarship, students must have at least a 3.0 grade point average, reside in an eligible county in western Kansas or eastern Colorado, and intend to pursue a college-related program. ‘Agriculture. Additional factors such as grades, letters of recommendation, community involvement, and participation in extracurricular activities will also be considered.

The deadline to apply is April 15 and recipients will be contacted and announced on May 2.
