More from inside Gola Arena, when Adam Sandler visited last September to film part of his Netflix movie “Hustle”
For a week last September, the lights of Hollywood shone on La Salle University.
Actor Adam Sandler toured La Salle and its Northwestern Philadelphia campus, as did hundreds of on-camera and behind-the-scenes supporters of the Netflix original movie “Hustle,” which premiered June 8.
“Hustle” portrays Sandler as an NBA scout who discovers an international player with immense potential – the type of player whose career is on the rise, while Sandler’s character tries to salvage his career.
The “Hustle” crew traveled throughout Philadelphia, filming in Center City, Manayunk and Roxborough, to name a few locations. They also spent four days filming in the Tom Gola Arena at the TruMark Financial Center, using the La Salle campus basketball arena as the fictional host location for the NBA Draft combines.
“Hustle” is now available on Netflix. Check out some behind-the-scenes glimpses of their filming days at La Salle.
