Lowering the flag for Jolene Headrick | News


The UN flag will be lowered on Wednesday, April 20 in memory of Headrick, a retired history department assistant. Headrick died on April 9 at the age of 67.

The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) flag will be lowered on Wednesday, April 20 in memory of retired UNO Jolene Headrick.

Jolene died on April 9, 2022 at the age of 67.

Jolene joined the UN in 1990 as a staff assistant in the Department of History until her retirement in 2019. Prior to joining the UN, she had a long career in nursing, inspired by her sister.

A service was held in his honor on Tuesday, April 12.

Jolene was predeceased by her parents, Frederick and Elaine Kirsch; daughter, Tiffany Rae Headrick; brother, Roger Kirsch; and her sister Thomasine Kirsch. She is survived by her husband, Rodney; son Ryan; brother Steve; sons Randolph and Dylan; and great-grandsons Bentley and Ryan.

The Maverick family’s thoughts are with Jolene’s family and loved ones at this time.
