Men’s water polo falls to Pepperdine to close weekend

MALIBU, Calif. – The brown men’s water polo fell to No. 9 Pepperdine 20-5 on Sunday (September 18) to close out his weekend in California. Five different Bears scored in the game against the Waves.

Cole Atwell scored for the Bears in the first quarter but Brown lost the first eight minutes 7-1. On a first hole, Brown got goals from Daniel Hadar and Maxwell Patterson in the second but the Bears were down six points at the break.

Pepperdine won the third quarter 8-2 to extend their lead. Brown’s goals in the third came from Philippe Aleksic and Gabe Chang.

Brown will be absent next weekend before starting the NWPC conference on the road in St. Francis Brooklyn and Princeton on October 1.
