LEXINGTON, Ky. – Seeking to return to the winning column after a tough road loss in Indiana’s top 10 last weekend, the University of the Kentucky kicks off a five-game home game on Sunday as it hosts Winthrop at 2 p.m. ET inside Memorial Coliseum.
Tickets for a game are $ 10 (all ages) in reverse seating areas, while general admission tickets are $ 8 for adults and $ 5 for children (ages 6-18) and the elderly (65 years and over). Regardless of immunization status, all guests will be required to wear a mask when visiting Memorial Coliseum. Fans will not be required to show proof of vaccination to enter, but face covers – covering the nose and mouth – are required for all fans when they watch the game from their seats and enter, exit and move around. in the Memorial Coliseum. Children 2 and under will not be required to wear a mask. If spectators cannot wear masks, they are encouraged not to appear in person for the sake of their own health and that of others.
The doors of the Memorial Coliseum will open one hour before the tip. All bags must adhere to the UK Athletics Clear Bag policy. All bags and items will be searched. Gaming parking is available from three hours prior to departure in the majority of surface courts surrounding Memorial Coliseum, including the High Street Lot, East Maxwell Lot, Joe Craft Center Lot, College View Lot, Alumni Center Lot and Career Center Lot. Cornerstone Garage and Parking Structure 2 open two hours before tip. There is a charge for parking at the Gatton Student Center while all other parking options are free. The JCC lot is mainly used for parking for people with reduced mobility / disabled. No shuttle is offered from a lot this season.

Kentucky (2-1) just lost 88-67 in Indiana’s top 10 last weekend at Bloomington. Upper guard Rhyne howard led Kentucky with 23 points, adding nine rebounds. First-year student Jada walker brilliantly delivered his first collegiate road test, coming off the bench to score 16 points in 27 minutes of action. IU edged the United Kingdom by 15 points in the second half, including a nine-point lead in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
Howard leads Kentucky this season averaging 19.3 points per game with 7.7 rebounds per game, 10 assists and nine steals. Front junior redshirt Dre’una Edwards is averaging 18.0 points per game with 5.3 rebounds per game, while the senior goalie Robyn benton had scored in double digits and hit a 3 in every game this season.
Kentucky leads the all-time record against Winthrop 2-0. Both games were played at Lexington. The last meeting took place on December 11, 2019, when Great Britain claimed a 91-36 victory over the Eagles at Rupp Arena. The other meeting took place on January 3, 2000, when the UK defeated. WU 94-39.
Winthrop (0-3) will have a quick turnaround for the game after falling to UNC Greensboro on Thursday night, 69-39. The Eagles started their season with a 95-39 loss to Duke on Nov. 9, then fell to Iona on Nov. 13, 67-45. After Sunday’s game, Winthrop will return to Rock Hill, SC for their home opener.
Second-year guard J’Mani Ingram leads the team this season averaging 13.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game with five steals. Junior guard Myra Strickland is averaging 10 points per game with 5.0 rebounds, while first-year guard Leonor Paisana has the team’s nine best assists this season.
