Regent University courses, admission process and fees paid

The university is conveniently located in Accra, Ghana. It started in January 2005 with only 30 students and has grown into one of the largest universities in Ghana. Although Accra is home to other good universities, it is clear that Regent is one of the best because of the number of applications it receives each year.

What courses are offered at the university?

Regent offers certificate, undergraduate, postgraduate, and even short-term courses. Distance learning from Regent University, however, is not available.

Undergraduate courses

An undergraduate course is a course taken after completing high school. The courses at this university include:

  • BSc (Hons) Banking and Finance
  • BSc (Hons) Economics with Computer Science
  • BSc (Hons) Accounting and Information Systems
  • Bachelor of Theology with Management (with distinction)

  • BEng (Hons) Applied Electronics and Systems Engineering:

Postgraduate course

These are courses that are only offered to students after graduating from undergraduate degree.

  • Doctor of Business Administration (DBA)
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Master of Science in Statistics

  • M.Eng in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology

The short courses give specific training over a period of three months.

Regent University tuition fees

Tuition fees at Regent vary depending on the school the student is in. In addition, regular students pay a little more than those in weekend schools. Freshers pay an additional 220 GHS as a one-time application fee. Tuition fees break down as follows:

Eligibility for Regent University

To be considered for admission, you must have one of the following qualifications to prove that you are Regent Material. International students are considered for admission if their qualifications are equivalent to any of the qualifications mentioned below:

The application process

After making sure that you meet all of Regent University’s requirements, you can submit your application. The application process varies depending on whether or not you are a Ghanaian citizen.

National candidates

  1. Download the application form
  2. Print and complete the form
  3. Make copies of required certificates
  4. Have your results report or transcripts sent from your school to the admissions office
  5. Pay the 150GHS application fee using a bank draft
  6. Send the bankers form, certifications and draft to school by mail

International applicants

  1. Download the application form and fill it
  2. Make copies of all required documents
  3. Take three passport photos
  4. Pay the $ 100 application fee to Ecobank Ghana and get the deposit slip
  5. Submit the above documents and mail them to the school.

If you decide to complete your application online, you can do so by following the following steps:

  1. Visit the Regent University login page.
  2. Download the application form
  3. Complete your application
  4. Attach the required documents
  5. Pay the administrative fees
  6. Submit the form

All the payment instructions must be strictly observed. After submitting your application, you will either receive an acceptance letter or a rejection letter from the university after a few months.

Is Regent University legitimate?

Yes, the university is a legitimate educational institution.

Is Regent University nationally accredited?

Yes. The university is an accredited institution. It received accreditation to operate as a higher education institution in 2004 and is recognized by the National Accreditation Council. All courses offered are accredited programs.
